Section One: “Let’s Meet The Frugies”

Two Frugies character is introduced to the children each week. We explain that The Frugies are all healthy and strong with lots of energy to play because they eat all of their fruit and vegetables every day.

The children learn more about each Frugies character inclusing their “Magical Power” by playing the ‘Salad Bowl Rainbow Game’.

The Salad Bowl Rainbow Game

This game teaches children how to categorise fruits and vegetables into the seven colours of the rainbow.

Each week two Frugies characters are taken out of the ‘Salad Bowl Bag’. They are then placed on the rainbow, which is on a whiteboard. The aim is to match the Frugie with its rainbow colour.


Section Two Frugies “Magical Powers” :What Fruit and Vegetables do for our Bodies

In this section, children learn about each Frugie’s special job to keep our bodies healthy. For example: Vroom, the carrot helps keep our eyes healthy while Spud, the potato and Coby, the corn give us lots of energy to play.


Section Three: Physical Activity: Frugies Fabulous Exercises

Each Frugie has a special signature exercise. As the children learn each one, through music and movement, the importance of good eating habits for energy to play is reinforced.


Section Four: Art/Craft Activity

The Frugies love all things colourful. The children have the opportunity to express colour through their weekly art/craft activity.


Section Five: Rainbow Day Dance

The Frugies love to dance. It gets the feet tapping, body moving and, as well as being great exercise, is just a whole lot of fun!

Your Kindergarten children will enjoy learning The Rainbow Day Dance to some of The Frugies’ favourite music.


Section Six: Fresh Fruit and Vegetables

We bring a variety of fresh produce for the children to see, touch and smell. There’s no taste testing during the workshop in case of allergies.


Section Seven: Frugies Stories/Acting/Drama

Full of colour, drama, excitement and fun; The Frugies stories has all the wide-eyed elements to delight every child… and their parents.
