The children were all willing to try some different varieties of vegetable and fruits when we followed up work in the classroom”. All children were included in some way and able to take part in a variety of experiences, eg: answering questions, dancing, sensory-smelling of fruit. Children commented on what they liked to eat and what fruit & veg they had tasted as well as being open to try new things. During snack time the children have been more aware of what is good for them and what is a “sometimes or an “everyday” food. The children are eager to show the adults their fruit & healthy snacks. At times the children will talk to each other about what colour their fruit or veg are and who has healthy food. “Very colourful. Children related well to the names of various fruits and vegetables and were still calling the names a fortnight later. The songs were catchy and children responded well to the movement.
