We are 4 members of the Sculli family who have been in the fruit and vegetable industry – retail and wholesale – for the past 45 years. Realising that many children were not eating the required amount of fruit and vegetables, Francine Sculli, an RMIT graduate with a Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Design, created the Frugies characters. Therese Caravetta, who has a strong background in
business management, takes care of all business matters. Michelle Basile, a former hairdresser, with 2 young children who are the recipe taste testers and critics, along with their mother,
Valerie Sculli, a Vicfit qualified fitness instructor and dance teacher with a certificate in
Nutrition for Children looks after the Rainbow Day school workshops.

Our vision is to increase children’s consumption of fruits and vegetables and our mission is to be leaders in educating children on fruits and vegetables in a fun and interesting way.
